FamilyCare Connect ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in a secure and transparent manner. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use the FamilyCare Connect application.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, encrypted password, and any profile information you choose to provide.

Caregiving Content

To provide caregiving collaboration features, we collect and store care notes, schedules, assigned tasks, messages between group members, uploaded documents or images, and any other information voluntarily entered into the app.

Technical & Usage Data

We may collect technical information such as device type, operating system, IP address, access times, log data, and diagnostic information. This helps us maintain security, prevent misuse, and improve the performance of the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide caregiving collaboration features, enable communication between authorised members, secure accounts, improve service reliability, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

FamilyCare Connect uses Supabase as a secure backend infrastructure provider. User data is stored in encrypted databases hosted by Supabase. Data is protected using industry-standard encryption both in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest.

Supabase provides secure cloud database hosting, access controls, role-based security policies, and encrypted backups. Data may be stored within the European Economic Area (EEA) or other secure jurisdictions supported by Supabase infrastructure providers.

While we implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data, no online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

4. Data Sharing

We only share information with authorised members of your caregiving group, trusted service providers (such as Supabase) who process data on our behalf, or where required by law. All service providers are required to maintain appropriate security and confidentiality standards.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, unless retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or Ireland, you have rights under GDPR including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability.

7. Children's Privacy

FamilyCare Connect is intended for adult caregivers. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children. Any information relating to minors is entered by authorised adult caregivers for coordination purposes.
